Hello! I’m Tina Musselman. I’m so glad you’re here!
I am the founder of The Pointe, a registered dietician nutritionist, a licensed counselor, and most importantly, a working mother.
Since 2003, I have been practicing as a dietitian nutritionist with expertise in:
- Functional and Integrative Nutrition
- Bariatric Surgery
- Women's Health
- Food/Chemical Sensitivities
- Lifestyle Transformations
- The Connection Between Mind & Body
Additionally, I am a licensed counselor. This allows me to take a comprehensive approach to the complex interplay between the mind, body, and overall life satisfaction.
My Story
I have always known that I wanted to be in the medical field to help people become well. Originally I wanted to be a physician, but when I saw the health of my family decline I realized that I wanted to use other modalities than prescription medication to help people get better. Through my own weight loss and wellness journey, I found my way to functional and integrative care.
After I graduated, I knew traditional dietetic work would not satisfy my desire to help others profoundly improve their lives. I went on to obtain advanced training in integrative and functional nutrition including mind/body interaction. Then, to better help clients bridge the gap between knowing and doing, I pursued a master's in counseling with a focus on marriage, family, and relationships.
Then I experienced a setback.
The demands of being a daughter, mom, and professional during COVID hit hard. When things finally calmed down, I wasn’t in a place emotionally, physically, or cognitively to set goals, be consistent, or make any commitments to myself. On the outside, it looked like I had it all. But on the inside...
I was crumbling.
It took everything in me just to make it through the day. After realizing what was happening, I knew I had two choices: keep spiraling, or break the cycle.
I started to make small (but profound) shifts in my every day life that supported my mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. I learned how to ask for help and built a strong community that helped me be able to show up for myself, family, and friends in meaningful ways.
This is what led me to re-open The Pointe.
I started this business to help you stop failing yourself. As a working mother of two, I know how hard it is and the many hats we must wear. Sometimes it can feel like our goals and dreams are put aside because there is just no time for them at the end of the day.
I’m here to tell you:
There IS hope for your future.
There ARE possibilities for your health.
There IS change on the horizon.
You DO have the ability to find yourself.
You CAN have control over your life.
My goal is to help you feel comfortable in your own skin and have the vitality to be able to carry yourself through the day. The journey may not be easy or straightforward, but it is possible. I did it and you can too.
My mission for The Pointe is to teach you how to profoundly improve your life by promoting healthy function and balance. My vision for you is to experience life more fully each and every day.
My background as not only a dietitian but also a licensed counselor allows me to have a holistic approach to your wellness. If all you want is a menu, I am not your dietician.
IF YOU WANT TRANSFORMATION, you’re in the right place.
As a seasoned professional, I am more passionate than ever about helping others achieve their goals and dreams in health and life. My desire is to help you give your body what it needs to function, try to uncover the root cause of your concern, and help you truly enjoy life and live vibrantly each and every day.
So, are you ready to transform your life?

Mandy Guide - Registered Dietitian
Hi! My name is Mandy Guide, a registered dietitian nutritionist, working alongside Tina within the Pointe. My passion for health and nutrition has fueled me in this environment for almost the past 20 years! If you asked me what other career I would choose if not to be a dietitian, I do not think I would have another answer. I truly believe I was put on this earth to help teach and promote wellness to people.
Specialties:
Within my many years of experience, I have practiced in a wide range of areas, including, but not limited to:
- IRB Nutrition Research
- Health and Wellness
- Weight Management
- Bariatrics (adult and adolescent)
- Pediatric Gastroenterology (failure to thrive, G-/J-tube care, celiac disease, etc.)
- Pediatric and Adult Cardiology
- Diabetes Education
I have two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Human Development and the other in Human Nutrition. Both have served me well over the past years in working to help others reach their nutritional goals, that can ultimately help them achieve bigger picture goals.
Career Highlights:
- BS Human Development, Eckerd College, 2002
- BS Human Nutrition and Dietetics, University of Illinois at Chicago, 2005
- Working in adolescent weight management and bariatric since 2005, including partaking in NIH research on LAP-Bands in adolescents
- Completed numerous weight management certifications for treating obesity in children, adolescents, and adults through the - -- Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Continually attending ongoing conferences and continuing education to further my expertise in my knowledge base.
What you can expect:
My strength as a dietitian is meeting the patient where they are starting from. I try to set realistic expectations, and do not want you to be perfect! I try to teach every patient that I do not want you to be on a diet, because you go OFF of a diet. I want to help you achieve a healthy lifestyle where the habits you learn can develop into who you are.
Last things:
In addition to being passionate about health and wellness, I love being a boy mom to my two beautiful sons who keep me very busy! My husband, boys and I spend our free time outside as much as possible, enjoying camping, attending different sporting events, or sometimes just having a dance party in our home. I do practice what I preach within our home as much as they will allow. Just ask them… “Mom!? Broccoli, again??”
